TENNESSEE, Chattanooga (& Southern City interpretations on Innovation Districts)

August 2017 The Kaufman Foundation produced a nice report explaining the ecosystem unique to Chattanooga. Others could learn from this; the networks matter more than the buildings so start there. It's a free download:
Little Town, Layered Ecosystem.

May 1, 2017 SLICK website showing expanded staff and consistent programming. Nice job Nooga!

Play to your strengths and be yourself is the southern take.
May 1, 2016: A new report from the National League of Cities about the Chattanooga story.

Chattanooga's mayor has been thinking about innovation districts since December 2012. Ken Hayes at the Enterprise Foundation of Chattanooga is dedicated to the formation of the innovation district.

The VW plant helps the conversation about innovation districts.

Guess who has the fastest cheapest Internet in the western hemisphere? Chattanooga, says the Mayor.   He also has some observations on robotics and innovation. They are figuring out how mid-size cities are tapping into innovation.

Innovation: it is not just a spectator sport!

Chattanooga caught the attention of The Guardian newspaper who had much to report about what blazing fast internet means to their tech start-up industry. Read about it HERE.

Of course, not everyone is happy about fantastically fast local Internet service. More HERE.
